Meet the Team
Brad Bosworth
Brad Bosworth is an avid sportsman and outdoors enthusiast. Growing up in the low country of South Carolina, Brad learned at an early age to respect and appreciate the woods, the water, and all the animals that live in them. He attributes his love for the outdoors first of all to his father, Pastor Burton Bosworth, but also to several other men who invested in his life at an early age and taught by example to love God and enjoy His creation. After high school, Brad went on to receive a bachelor's degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville South Carolina.
Shortley after his time in Greenville, he worked for ten years as an athletic director, teacher, and coach at his former high school in Myrtle Beach. It was during these years of daily interaction with young men and women that Brad saw a trending lack of practical Biblical Mentorship among his students. He began to seek a way to effectively join his desire to help young people grow in the knowledge and love of God with his passion for hunting, fishing and being outdoors. These desires are what led him to start Jericho Creek Ministries.
Landon McDowell
As a lifelong resident of South Carolina, Captain Landon McDowell has always had a passion for hunting and fishing the beautiful areas of our state from the time he was a child. This passion is deep rooted in family tradition, one that has been passed onto his own two sons. As a steward to what the Lord has provided, he understands and respects the importance of conservation so that generations that follow can be afforded the same opportunities.
In 2007, Captain Landon received his OUPV Captains License from The Sea School, a premier maritime training school for the Eastern Seaboard and Caribbean, in conjunction with his Merchant Mariner credential from the United States Coast Guard. He has a loyal group of customers that travel to the Greater Grand Strand area every year to fish with him. He loves to “hook a child on fishing”, as it is a past time that they can enjoy all their life, but he also shares with them the Lord’s majesty in local rivers, tributaries, inlets, and creeks.
Ben Bosworth
Ben has been a resident of South Carolina for the majority of his life. He was raised in the low country of Horry County where his love for fishing, hunting, and the outdoors began. In 2005, Ben received his degree in Ministerial Training from Bob Jones University. Ben began his career in business in 2006. His career included the fields of construction, real estate development, and service.
Ben now uses his experience in the outdoors, along with his knowledge gained from the years he has spent in the construction and real estate industries, at Jericho Creek Ministries to educate others and facilitate an environment to share God's Word.

Jared Vernon
Before joining Jericho Creek Ministries, Jared Vernon served in the United States Marine Corps and then in the U.S. Army. Jared spent a total of ten years in the military. During that time, he deployed multiple times. He initially served as an Infantryman and then as a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces, commonly known as “The Green Berets”.
After leaving the military Jared entered the construction Industry where he worked as an Operations manager, a Project manager, and started his own company. Jared has a passion for people as well as sharing and discussing God's Word. He also is grateful for an opportunity to teach his three children and others some of the life skills and knowledge of the outdoors he acquired from his time in the military. Jared now uses that passion to share the Gospel of Christ and walk alongside others in discipleship here at Jericho Creek Ministries.
